Virtual Models

Human virtual character models, ranging in detail from Web-ready avatars to CG models used for FX in movies, are becoming more common and more interesting. On the Web the focus often seems to be on female virtual models.

With the Miss Digital World contest taking place in November (the last deadline for model submissions to MDW is September 18th, top prize is a gold bar worth $ 5000), it is time again to take a look at the world virtual models.

One of the most useful virtual models is the online favorite, My Virtual Model, a program that allows you to make a virtual duplicate of yourself in order to try on clothes online. At Elegant Plus there is a great article that shows how My Virtual Model can be used.

Annaova is a virtual newscaster who brings you the latest headlines. And there is also Kaya and t-babe who are virtual multi-use models .

For anyone planning on entering a model in the Miss Digital World contest, I recommend taking a look at the research that was done on virtual beauty on the Beautycheck website. Make use to check out the sections Virtual Miss Germany and Babyfaceness. There is some eye-opening information on what people perceive as beautiful in both men and women.
